I have 2 or 3 of the rifles, a Webley WG target with a cylinder conversion kit and a MK IV with an aiming tube conversion.. I love the cartridge because it is so nutty looking, but I don't enjoy...

Not that I'm aware.. Bruce Bertram doesn't even make cases... I've been gradually building up my collection of 22 Hornet cases plus I was given a CBE mould out of Freddo's estate... though we didn't...

You mean other than anyone that owns one? The newest box I've seen was pre WWII. Cases are available from Buffalo Arms among others. Bullets are regular .22 LR heeled lead, which are actually harder...

Richard I have a few boxes of post-war non-corrosive Kynoch. I used to make cases out of hornet brass, but now that Buffalo iswilling to do it for me, I'm happy to get the cases from them.

Gents given the fact they are a difficult case to hold... and I'm heading down that path shortly... Why can't you use a pair of tweezers or long nose pliers to assist in gripping the little Blighters??

If you are you sing Lee Liquid Alox to tumble lube ,I have found that in this case less is best,just a drop to do 50 or more,and then I leav for a week after tumbling before you sing

The only source I've found for correct heeled bullets is American Arms, which sells the bullets already lubed and they stay sticky for well over a year. Of course I've got a case of Remington lead .22...

CBE make a very good heal base mould for 297-230,I have been yousing mine with .3cc of Trail Boss,it makes no more noise than a air rifle butt is surprisingly accurate and deadly on rabbits to 100...
